Forward Madison just announced that another of the small core of players Matt Glaeser brought back in 2023 is back again for a third go-round.
South African striker Nazeen Bartman made 31 appearances in 2023, starting 27 games, and finished with five goals, three assists, 31 shots and 24 chances created.
“Naz has been with me since I arrived in 2022 and has proven to be a steady player in USL League One,” Head Coach Matt Glaeser said in the press release. “He can play as a 9, false 9, and winger which we value from a versatility standpoint. He's quick and clever in combination play and movement and helps us in ball progression with his awareness. We expect him to be a solid contributor again in 2024.”
Nazeem is also the founder of the Faisel Bartman Legacy Foundation, named in honor of his late father, which hosts a tournament in South Africa every year to raise funds to help underpriveleged kids and families access the game.
We’ll have additional announcements throughout the day, and a special League One Day One edition of the podcast in your feeds tonight, including an exclusive interview with Matt Glaeser.
