Mitch Osmond returns for third season as a Mingo

In its first League One Day One announcement, Forward Madison announced the return of captain and center back Mitch Osmond.

He was one of only four players manager Matt Glaeser kept from the 2022 season. In 2023, he led the team in clearances (130) and blocks (17) and had the second-most passes on the season for the team (1,762).

“I'm excited to return our captain and leader on the backline,” Glaeser said in a press release. “Mitch has had a strong impact for us as a key player and leader and is a big part of our plan to return a core group of players in order to maintain continuity, build on the positives from last season, and compete for a trophy in 2024.”
