Forward Madison just announced that midfielder Aiden Mesias will be back for 2024. He primarily played the #8 position in 2023, anchoring the midfield alongside Chelo Martinez and/or Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu. And with a passing accuracy of 88.9%, he was key to the Mingos possession-oriented offense.
He also tallied twice.
Mesias grew up in the English academy system, where he played for Queens Park Rangers.
“Aiden came in this season and proved himself as a strong box-to-box midfielder in USL League One,” said Head Coach Matt Glaeser. “He's still young and has a tremendous upside with his ability on the ball, awareness, movement, and work rate. We are happy to have him back for another season and expect to see continued growth in his overall game.”
Sounds like there’s just one more announcement coming today, so we’ll have that for you when it drops. We’ll also have a special League One Day One edition of the podcast in your feeds tonight, including an exclusive interview with Matt Glaeser.
